Evotix alternatives: choose by the EHS job you need done

An Evotix alternative depends on the scope you are replacing. If you need an enterprise EHS and sustainability programme spanning incidents, risk, environmental data and multiple regions, compare other broad EHS platforms such as Cority and EcoOnline against the same workflows. If your immediate problem is UK operational evidence for workers, contractors, sites and documents, a narrower compliance platform may be worth testing. It would be unfair to present a narrower platform as a full substitute for Evotix's enterprise EHS and ESG functions.

This is a buyer shortlist, not a ranking. Vendor descriptions below are based on their own public pages checked on 5 October 2026. They establish what the vendors market, not how well a feature works for your organisation or what a quoted plan includes. Ask each for a live demonstration and written commercial terms before deciding.

No row says a vendor is “best,” cheaper or functionally equivalent. Products, modules and contracts change; the table is a starting hypothesis for procurement.

First, decide why Evotix is on the list

Evotix's current solutions page presents an Enterprise offer for large, complex organisations and a Professional offer for mid-market teams. Its own description includes connected safety, health, operational risk, ESG and training data, configurable forms/workflows, multi-language support, mobile use and API/data exchange. Its services page describes implementation and ongoing support. Those can be valuable where the business has a dedicated EHS function, multiple sites and complex process ownership. They also mean a buyer should test configuration, adoption and total cost, not just a feature checklist.

There are several different reasons to look for an alternative. You may want a different enterprise architecture; a stronger chemical or occupational-health workflow; simpler adoption for a small field team; a narrower UK contractor-compliance solution; better contract terms; or a migration away from a platform that does not fit your processes. Write the reason down before asking vendors for a demonstration. Otherwise every supplier will optimise its pitch for a different definition of “better.”

Do not assume Evotix is always an enterprise-only fit: its current site distinguishes its mid-market Professional offering. Likewise, do not assume an alternative has a particular price or deployment time. Public pages do not establish your contract, scope or implementation burden.

Broad EHS alternatives: Cority and EcoOnline

Cority describes its CorityOne EHS+ platform as bringing together environmental, worker health, safety, quality and sustainability workflows. Its FAQ lists incident, risk, audit, industrial hygiene and occupational-health use cases. That makes it a plausible broad-platform comparison for a buyer who would otherwise evaluate Evotix Enterprise. Ask Cority to demonstrate the *specific* workflows and regional rules you need. A product's broad public scope does not prove that the quoted configuration includes each module, an integration or an acceptable approach to sensitive health data.

EcoOnline publicly presents EHS software with safety and chemical-management paths. That can make it worth considering where chemical information, frontline reporting and safe-work processes are central. Verify which UK product and modules are offered, the distinction between a chemical-management service and general EHS workflow, and what the current mobile and offline experience does with a real incident or assessment. Do not infer pricing or assume identical capability across its regional sites.

These are not exhaustive alternatives. The point is to compare products within the right scope. If sustainability reporting or occupational health is a non-negotiable requirement, do not replace an enterprise platform with a document tracker just because both use the word “compliance.” If the organisation only needs a reliable contractor evidence process, do not pay for EHS depth it will not implement.

When a narrower compliance platform may be enough

Some businesses arrive at an Evotix search because a broad EHS category term is the only one they know. Their actual problem might be scattered insurance certificates, RAMS, worker training evidence and supplier approvals. In that case, shortlist the operational workflow first. Test a redacted contractor whose insurance is in date but excludes the proposed work, a worker whose competence changes, and a job with a revised method statement. Can the chosen product make the exception visible, route it to a human and preserve the decision?

Complys markets contractor compliance software and other UK operational compliance pages. That makes it a candidate for such a narrower need. It should not be described as equivalent to Evotix Enterprise's full environmental, occupational-health or ESG scope without an implementation-backed comparison. Likewise, public claims of automated document verification, scores, reminders or audit trails must be demonstrated in the actual UK plan before the buyer relies on them. If those functions are absent or incomplete, document the manual workaround.

The regulatory point is straightforward: software supports a process, but it does not take over the employer's duties. HSE says a formal health and safety management system is not universally required by law and warns against documentation replacing practical control. A buyer's first goal should be reliable decisions and action on risks, not the most elaborate dashboard.

Run the same demonstration with every vendor

Give each supplier the same redacted scenarios and score the observed response. Three useful tests are:

  1. Risk and action: A worker reports a hazardous condition at one of several sites. Show intake, triage, control, assigned action, verification and review. What happens if the action is overdue or the risk reappears?
  2. Contractor change: A subcontractor submits a new document with a different insured activity; a new worker arrives. Show how the system links company and person evidence to a particular job, who can decide, and what the site team sees.
  3. Environmental or health depth: If material, trace one environmental aspect, exposure record or health workflow from source data through review and reporting. Include the privacy and access model for sensitive data.

Record whether each step works in the quoted plan, needs configuration, needs a third-party module, requires a manual process or is unavailable. A vendor may offer a polished demonstration using sample data; ask it to repeat the critical step with your redacted case. Do not score a roadmap feature as delivered.

Compare total cost by adding implementation, data migration, user/site limits, integrations, training, support, storage and exit/export costs to the subscription quote. The result depends on your contract. We found no reliable public like-for-like prices across these products, so there is no price ranking here.

Migration questions that are easy to miss

An EHS platform can hold years of incidents, actions, assessments, exposures and attachments. Export is more than a CSV of titles. Ask about record relationships, versions, approvals, timestamps, audit events, document files, privacy classifications and retention. Test an export before signing. Identify which historic evidence is legally or contractually needed, then decide what to migrate, archive or remove under an approved policy.

If the business spans countries, map each workflow to the relevant jurisdiction and local team. Do not copy a UK risk-assessment field or a single environmental reporting assumption across every region. Agree who owns the source of truth after migration and how the old system will be decommissioned. A transition that leaves two live, conflicting records may be worse than the existing problem.

Which choice is likely to fit?

Stay with Evotix on the shortlist when broad EHS/ESG capability and enterprise configuration are central, and the Professional or Enterprise offer can meet your tested needs on acceptable terms. Put Cority or EcoOnline alongside it when you want genuine broad-platform alternatives and their publicly stated scope matches your programme. Test Complys for a narrower UK operational compliance task where contractor, worker and document evidence is the real bottleneck; require a demonstration and be candid about functions outside that scope.

The strongest selection is the one whose implemented workflows fit your real work and whose data, security, support and contract you can live with. Ask for proof, record gaps, and make the decision against the same scenarios.

Frequently asked questions

Is Complys a direct Evotix replacement?

Not on the available evidence. Evotix publicly markets a broad EHS/ESG programme. Complys publicly markets UK operational compliance. A buyer with a narrower evidence problem may evaluate Complys, but broad Evotix functions must not be assumed equivalent. Test the exact functions and plan.

Does Evotix publish a universal price?

The current solutions site invites buyers to request pricing. Do not infer a contract value from a third-party listing. Obtain a written, like-for-like quote covering modules, users, implementation and renewal.

Do I need a formal EHS management system to comply with UK law?

Not as a universal software or certification requirement. HSE explains that a formal system can help but is not required by law; employers still need effective arrangements and controls for their actual risks.
