✓ Complys Verified

Verification that means something

Complys Verified is not a logo you pay to display. It is a live read of a business’s actual compliance position - tracked, evidenced, and updated continuously on the Complys platform.

What we track

Every verified business’s public profile reflects live data from their Complys account. No self-reported claims, no paid placements.

Insurance

Public liability, employers liability, professional indemnity. We track expiry dates and only count documents currently in date.

Accreditations

CHAS, SMAS, SafeContractor, Constructionline, ISO 9001/14001/45001 and others. Live status, never stale.

Worker certifications

CSCS cards, IPAF, PASMA, NVQs, trade-specific qualifications. Tracked at the worker level, surfaced at the company level.

Document expiry

Every certificate has an expiry date. We send reminders before expiry and only count active documents on the public profile.

How a business becomes verified

  1. 1
Sign up and verify the company

New accounts are tied to a Companies House number at signup so we know the business legally exists in the UK.

  2. 2
    Upload compliance documents

Insurance certificates, accreditation certificates, worker training records. Each document is logged with its expiry date.

  3. 3
Opt in to the public directory

When the business is happy with their profile, they switch on public listing. Their profile then appears in directory searches and the verified badge becomes visible.

  4. 4
    Stay verified, automatically

Documents expire. We track that. The counts on a verified profile are always live - if a certificate lapses, it stops counting until the business uploads a new one.

Why this is different to a trade directory

No pay-for-rank. A business with current insurance and in-date accreditations ranks higher than one without. Money cannot buy a higher position.
No fake reviews. Reviews on Complys can only come from companies who have actually engaged the business through the platform. No anonymous Google reviews, no sock puppets.
No self-reported claims. When a profile shows “5 in-date insurance documents,” that’s 5 actual files uploaded to Complys, with checked expiry dates. Not a tickbox.
Always current. A printed CHAS certificate on a website might be from 2019. A Complys verified badge can only appear if the underlying accreditation is still in date today.
