Minimum is NPTC CS30 (chainsaw maintenance and cross-cutting) and CS31 (felling small trees up to 380mm). Climbing tree surgeons need CS38 (aerial cutting using rope and harness) and CS39 (aerial chainsaw use). Tree surgery on highways may require CS41 (windblown trees).
