Complys is a compliance management platform operated by Complys Technology Ltd ("Complys", "we", "us"). By creating an account or using the service, you agree to these terms. If you are using Complys on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for that organisation.
Complys provides tools to help UK trades and contractors manage compliance, including generating risk assessments and method statements, health and safety policies, scaffold handover certificates, vehicle checks, contractor onboarding, and related records. The service is provided on a subscription and credit basis as described on our pricing page.
The documents and outputs Complys helps you produce, including any generated by artificial intelligence, are tools to assist you. You remain responsible for reviewing them and ensuring they are accurate and appropriate for your specific work before you rely on or issue them. Complys does not provide legal, health and safety, or professional advice.
You are responsible for keeping your login details secure and for all activity under your account. You must give accurate information when you register and keep it up to date. You must not misuse the service, attempt to access it in unauthorised ways, or use it to store or share unlawful content.
You keep ownership of the data and documents you put into Complys. You grant us the permissions needed to host and process that data to provide the service. Where you enter personal data about your workers or contractors, you are responsible for having a lawful basis to do so, and you act as the data controller for that data while we act as your processor, as set out in our Privacy Policy.
Paid plans and credits are billed as described at the point of purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled before the renewal date. Credits are consumed as you use chargeable features. Unless required by law, fees already paid are non-refundable. We may change our prices, giving reasonable notice for changes affecting an active subscription.
Where we offer a free trial or free credits, these are provided as described at sign-up and may be changed or withdrawn for future users. Any allowances given for a trial are for evaluation and may be subject to fair-use limits.
We work to keep Complys available and reliable, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may carry out maintenance, update features, or suspend access where necessary to protect the service or comply with the law.
You agree not to use Complys to break the law, infringe others' rights, attempt to compromise the security of the platform, or resell or copy the service without our permission. We may suspend or end access where these terms are seriously or repeatedly breached.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Subject to that, Complys is provided on a reasonable-efforts basis, and we are not liable for indirect or consequential loss, or for decisions you make in reliance on documents you produce using the service without your own review. Our total liability in connection with the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
You can stop using Complys and close your account at any time. On request we will delete your data in line with our Privacy Policy, subject to any records we must keep by law. We may end or suspend your access where you breach these terms or where required by law.
We may update these terms from time to time. When we make material changes we will update the date above and, where appropriate, notify you through the service. Continuing to use Complys after a change means you accept the updated terms.
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales, and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction. For any question about these terms, contact support@complys.co.uk.
