How to add your Complys verified badge

Your Complys verified badge is a small image you can paste on your own website, email signature, or Google Business Profile. It links back to your Complys profile so customers can verify your credentials, and helps both you and Complys rank higher on Google over time.

Get your badge HTML snippet from the mini-site editor at /dashboard/settings/mini-site. Two variants are available - light and dark - pick the one that fits your website.

Where customers will see it

  • Website footer - appears on every page, best for SEO
  • Accreditations / About page - alongside your CHAS, SMAS etc.
  • Email signature - every quote and reply
  • Google Business Profile - link in the description
  • Social media bios - LinkedIn, Facebook, Instagram

Squarespace

  1. Log into Squarespace and open your site editor
  2. Scroll to where you want the badge (most common: the footer, or your accreditations section)
  3. Click Edit, then click the + to add a new block
  4. Choose the Code block (under "More")
  5. Paste your copied embed code into the box
  6. Make sure the "Display Source" toggle is OFF (it should be by default)
  7. Click Apply then Save the page

Wix

  1. Open your Wix site editor
  2. Click the + Add Elements button on the left
  3. Go to Embed Code then Embed HTML
  4. Drag the HTML element onto the part of the page where you want the badge (usually the footer)
  5. Click the element, then click Enter Code
  6. Paste your copied embed code
  7. Click Update, then Publish your site

WordPress

There are two common ways depending on your WordPress theme:

Using a Widget (most themes)

  1. Go to Appearance → Widgets
  2. Add a Custom HTML widget to your Footer widget area
  3. Paste your embed code
  4. Click Save

Using a Block (Gutenberg editor)

  1. Edit the page where you want the badge
  2. Click the + to add a new block
  3. Choose the Custom HTML block
  4. Paste your embed code
  5. Click Update on the page

GoDaddy Website Builder, Weebly, other builders

Most website builders have a generic "HTML" or "Embed" element. Look for:

  1. An option to add a new element, section or block
  2. Look for "HTML", "Embed Code", "Custom Code" or "Code Block"
  3. Paste your embed code into the box
  4. Save and publish

If your builder doesn't support HTML embeds, you can download the badge image directly and upload it as a normal image, then add a link to your Complys profile - just less elegant.

Gmail email signature

  1. Open Gmail, click the gear icon → See all settings
  2. Scroll to Signature
  3. Create a new signature or edit an existing one
  4. Click the Insert image icon (looks like a mountain/picture)
  5. Choose Web Address (URL) tab
  6. Paste your badge image URL: https://www.complys.co.uk/badge/your-slug.svg
  7. Click Select, then click the inserted image and click the link icon
  8. Link to your Complys profile URL: https://www.complys.co.uk/c/your-slug
  9. Save changes

Outlook email signature

  1. Open Outlook
  2. Go to File → Options → Mail → Signatures
  3. Create a new signature or edit an existing one
  4. In the signature editor, click the Image button
  5. Browse to your badge image (download it first from complys.co.uk/badge/your-slug.svg)
  6. Click on the inserted image, then click the link icon
  7. Add the URL: https://www.complys.co.uk/c/your-slug
  8. Click OK to save

Google Business Profile

Google Business Profile doesn't support HTML embeds. The best approach:

  1. Log into your Google Business Profile
  2. Edit your Business description
  3. Mention your Complys profile near the end, like "Verified on Complys: complys.co.uk/c/your-slug"
  4. Save the description

For your business website link in the profile, keep that pointing at your main business website.

No website yet?

Your Complys mini-site at complys.co.uk/c/your-slug works as your website. Use that URL on business cards, vehicle signage, quotes, invoices and your Google Business Profile - it functions as a fully verifiable profile customers can find and trust.

Consider adding a QR code on your van that links to your Complys profile. Customers can scan it to see your verified credentials, photos and contact info immediately.

After you've added it

  1. Visit your website / open an email signed with your new signature
  2. Make sure the badge shows up - if it's broken, check you pasted the full snippet
  3. Click the badge - it should take you to your Complys profile
  4. That's it. The badge will load fresh every time from Complys, so if your status changes the badge updates automatically.
