The 2026 ISO updates — what they mean for your evidence
ISO 9001:2026 (published 16 September 2026) and ISO 14001:2026 (published April 2026) are the current editions of the quality and environmental standards, each replacing its 2015 edition; ISO 45001:2018 remains the current occupational health & safety standard, with a revision in development. All follow ISO's Harmonized Structure, so the machinery is shared: the 2026 revisions sharpen leadership and quality culture, the treatment of risks and opportunities, and — for ISO 14001 — environmental and change-management focus. What doesn't change is what an assessor asks to see: controlled documents, internal audits, corrective actions, competence and records. Complys keeps that evidence current whichever edition you certify to. Transition arrangements from the 2015 editions are set by accreditation bodies — confirm your dates with your certification body.
